Insurance Producer / Limited Lines Insurance Producer / Limited Lines Credit Insurance Producer
Upon renewing your Insurance Producer license, a new expiration date will be calculated depending on the licensee’s birth month. Licenses will now be issued on a biennial basis with a minimum term of 13 months and a maximum term of 24 months. All Insurance Producer licenses will cost $100.00 to renew.
It is strongly recommended that you renew your license electronically at
www.sircon.com/mississippi or at
www.nipr.com. All licensees who submit a clean electronic renewal application should receive their licenses in the mail within two to
five business days. You may also choose to return your paper renewal
application and the license fee to the Department by the expiration date.
All licensees who choose to submit a clean paper renewal application should
receive their licenses in the mail within fifteen to twenty business days.
Non-residents: MID staff will verify home state licensure on the national state producer licensing
database (SPLD).
Note: A late fee of 50% of the renewal fee will be assessed to all renewal invoices received
after their renewal due date.
If you did not renew your license during previous renewal cycle, you may submit a new application to
reinstate a license within twelve months of the previous expiration date. A reinstatement will result in a lapse in licensure.
For those with inactive licenses, if you wish to reinstate, you may submit either:
- the first-time Mississippi Insurance Producer paper application (write “Reinstate” at the top)
- or go on-line at www.sircon.com/Mississippi “Reinstate Your License”. (Late fee is included.)
Note:
- Late fee of $50 is imposed if reinstating license within one year
after expiration.

- Resident reinstatements can fax CE certificates, if required, to (601) 359-1951 or email them to licensing@mid.state.ms.us.

Surplus Lines Insurance Producer
Surplus Lines Insurance Producer renewal invoices are mailed 67 days prior to the expiration date. If you
did not receive the invoice or have misplaced it, you may email a request for a duplicate invoice to:
licensing@mid.state.ms.us.

Non-resident renewals submit application and license fee. Non-residents: MID staff will verify
home state licensure on the national state producer licensing database
(SPLD) and that the licensee maintains a current insurance producer license with property and casualty lines of authority and two appointments with admitted property and casualty Insurance Companies.
Insurance Producer Entity
Insurance Producer Entities, who previously held an LAH entity license and a PC Entity license, had these licenses merged into one Insurance Producer Entity license on November 1, 2009. This merger created one license using one of the entity’s previous license numbers. The new Insurance Producer Entity license may provide the same authority as the other two licenses if the designated responsible producer for the entity on file with the Department has Life, Accident and Health, Property, and Casualty lines of authority.
